Newbie here

Hello all,

WOW i just stumbled onto this website and I must admit I was taken back abit from all the wonderful advice that you all give. I just recently purchase my RaZR V3 (black/Cingular) about a week ago and just got it successfully unlocked. However I'm curious to know what's the benefits of having it unlocked, i.e. I can change carriers, go international etc? Any inputs would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

welcome jim, well you pretty much got it. when your phone is unlocked you can switch from carrier to carrier with out having to sign a contract. its also really cool when you go to europe, you can buy a prepaid sim card pop it in and you're all set. cheers welcome and enjoy your stay.
