why can't my computer read my phone?

when i connect my phone to my computer, it'll say something like "unknown device connected" and then i can't use like pst phone programmer and stuff like that.

Yea, you need to install software to make sure the computer knows about your connecting phone.

The 265 seems to be a phone that everyone is having a prob with I wish I had more info, the cables on these phones are very sensitive if that offers any help.

u need to install the drivers for the phone. i think pst comes with some universal driver

i have a v180 and i make my own ringtones but i dont wanna spend all that money going to the url and paying the 3cents a kb. i have a usb cord, and when i try to download things via usb like him, is not recognized but i have not downloaded pst or p2k or whatever that is. what software can i download to fix this and where can i get it?
