    Hi,

I'm brand new to the forums, and I'm looking for some information. I have a super old motorola brick style telephone, and I was wondering two things:

    1. Does anyone know where I can get a battery for it? I still have the lighter adapter so I can hook it up in my car as well as a battery charger to plug into the wall, but no actual battery.

    2. Does anyone know any way that I can get this thing set up so that it would work on a modern cell phone network? Are there any retro-fitting kits or anything?

There are quite a few numbers on the back of the phone that seem to be like serial numbers and such, and after searching around online, the only one that returned any info was the FCC ID. It's IHDT5QV3. When I searched for that number, I got this page:

    http://www.fcc.gov/Bureaus/Engineeri...mitter-1991.db

If anyone knows if any of the other numbers mean anything, that'd be great. If you need any other numbers, just let me know.

    Thanks in advance!

    Phil

Oh, well, I posted too soon. The model number is F09PYD8372AG. I found a battery here:

So, then the question is, will I be able to get this thing to work? I'm more than willing to take it apart and do some rewiring if need be.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

I'm not sure if you are now using your old brick cell phone, but I am looking for an old one like that. Are you interested in selling it? Please let me know. Thank you!
