Is there a place I can go to get ringtomes that actually announce who is calling by name? For instance, my son's name is Brian. It would be nice to have the phone just say "Brian" repeatedly when he calls. Same for other people I know. And I don't have the means to make my own tones. Just curious! THANKS

well if you have a voice recorder that could be used as ringtones that would be the way to go.

The only way this can be done that I know of is the person calling must have the capability in their phone. I have a friend who's ringtone changes when someone in particular calls so he knows who the caller is by their ringtone. I do not think you can make that adjustment on your phone, and I think my friend has a Nextel model. Simply loading in a ringtone that says "Brian" will ring "Brian" no matter who calls. Personally I am happier with caller I.D....having a persons name called out as a ringtone may get one into trouble under certain circumstances, especially where females are involved...

No, with most phones you can associate a ringtone with a caller in your phonebook. The trick would be getting the MP3 file of the name you are looking for. Maybe you should search movie clips for the names?

iTunes can convert .wav to mp3. I would have no trouble getting the name into the phone. The real problem is programming the phone. Does anyone have any specific steps to do this?

What type of phone is it? On the Motorolas, if you save the entry to the phone rather than the sim card, each entry had a line where you can assign any ring tone you have on your phone to that number.

Yes... in your contacts section (on the phone) select a contact, select change, highlight the last line (I think?), select "change" again and scroll through the ringtones.
