#1 | | Junior Member | I will be purchasing an e815 next week and need your help on picking out accessories.
Does the Moto plug in charger and cig lighter charger from a v300 work on this phone?
Does it come with the plastic holster? How do you like the leather case from VZW?
Bluetooth? Which one? I wear glasses and do not want a BT that interferes with the temple of my glasses. BT250V, HS850 or the regular BT headset? I think these are all re-chargeble headsets, but I was told there is a slimmer BT headset that runs off of one AAA battery? Anyone heard of this and what do you think?
Thanks,
Terry

I use the MotoHS850 i usually wear my sunglasses while driving and it's no problem at all, they even help keep my headset in place.

#6 | | | ... it sounds bettter than any of the wired headsets I've used... of course I have been loath to invest much in a wired headset knowing that they get destroyed in my disorganized center compartment.
I love the tiny design and have affixed a stick-on velcro circle to it and another to my car's interior so that it is always within easy reach. The only moving part is a hinge on the ear hook so its not likely to break quickly. The over the ear hook is made of a flexible material and I easily forget I'm wearing it. There is no poke-into-the-ear part, Thank Goodness, I have small ears and those always hurt!
I've had the phone for...errrmmm.... 6 weeks? (help me Tony, I'm not good at this) and have yet to change the battery - I believe it advertised 16 hours of talk time and 160 hours of idle on an standard alkaline battery - better if you invested in the shnazzier e3 batteries.
hubby and I decided we liked this route because much of our driving is in upstate NY where there are handsfree laws. If a headset required recharging it could be a real inconvenience. This way I just pop a new battery out of the center console (If I can find anything in there) and pop it into the headset... plus... the price is right!

#8 | | Junior Member | So the HS805 is the one that runs off of 1 AAA battery. The HS850 is rechargeable and has the boom mike. Does the rechargeable one use the same charger as the phone? And how would you know when it is time to charge it?

The rechargeable one comes with it's own charger, but the chargers from the Motorola vxx series phones will work with it..I.E. v60,v400,v600 etc..
The HS850 will sound two faint beeps every minute when it's time to charge it...

#10 | | Junior Member | i just ordered teh tekkeon bluetooth headset. i did about 40 minutes of research and the tekkeon headset was the only one to have completely consisten, glowing reviews. all other headsets were hit/miss. although it is a bit more expensive (60-80) it is very small, extremely comfy, and quality is amazing (from what i hear) i can report back later this week when i get my phone and headset.
