[B]are mp3 ringtones blocked by verizon?[/B]

I have a motorola e815 and I uploaded some mp3's via vzwpix.com an I have saved them to my phone and they will play but it wont give me the choice of setting it as a ringtone. I have also tried to rename an mp3 to .mid but verizon wont let the file through because of the .mid format. I then tried renaming the file on the phone itself but it said that the . was not allowed in a filename. One other question, I also uploaded some java games to my phone when I try to download them from the message I says that it cant do it. Has verizon blocked this feature too. Does this phone even support java. If not is there any way to unlock these features?
