Just Bought a V547, havin trouble getting it to work

I bought a unlocked v547 off of ebay, the phone is amazing, but i understand that its a euro phone or somthin, world phone i know, it works fine makin calls but i cant get the browser to work, mind you im in the us and have cingular as my carrier. I also cant get thru to my voicemail, is there somthin i have to do to set it up for it to work in the US?

Go to the how to thread and get the gprs setting for cing next find out what you vm # and you should be all set.

I set it all up like the instructions say but under GPRS APN: Enter the appropriate value for the APN.
Note: If the APN value is unknown, please contact Customer Care.

i dont have one of those #'s, where could i get one, or do u know what i should use?

what is this VM# u speak of also

i found the APN value, its wap.cingular but i keep getting GPRS Network Unavailable for some reason :/ Im using this Tim.it browser it seems, i dunno if its the reason why i cant connect or not, what should i do, is there software i can load to get an american browser or somthin?

i actually work for cingular. ur username needs to be [email protected]
and password CINGULAR1...all caps......hopefully this helps. most of the time we have trouble getting the phone to connect w/o media net configuration software, which I have personally never seen Cingular give to anyone...

concerning the vm, if its ur first time trying to setup vm or you've had vm in the past and now ur getting a message to please enter your mobile number....this means ur vm number programmed into your phone is incorrect. only way to get that info would be to call customer service...and good luck with that.

Also if your phones been unlocked you should be able to go to messages scroll down to vm and hit call. Hope that helps as well.

ya i figured out that i had the wrong voicemail # in there and i was able to change it
