Bluetooth question

I found a motorola bluetooth earpiece(HS850) the other day and I was wondering if it was compatible with any motorola phone(V551 to be exact). I just want to know if it is because it is uncharged and i don't want to spend any money on a charger for it if it's not going to work. If it does work, will I need anything else or do I just hit the search for bluetooth button on my phone? Any reply would be greatly appreciated. Thanx

Although I'm not entirely certain - I bet your phone charger will work on the headset.

you have to bond the devices (at least that I remember from setting up mine) requiring a code. All Moto HS850 headsets use the same code, so you just need to find someone who has one or find an online manual

it isnt compatible with my charger, but its less than 10 bux for a charger so i dont have a prob with that. Thanx for the help.

If it's an HS850 it does used the same charger as the V551.

as far as bonding the HS850 with your v551, turn on your headset with the boom mic closed, as soon as it turns on flip the boom mic open and your headset should show a steady blue light, that tells you it's ready for bonding with your phone, once your V551 finds the HS850 it will ask for a code, enter
0000 and you're done.

Should the blue light stay on or flash when mic is open?
