which flash/flex?

Hello
i want to upgrade my firmware on my v551.
i have done all the mpt+usb+pkman+all others connectivity, but i am puzzled about the variety of flashed/flexes/monsterpacks out there.
Which one is the best?Which one is the lastest? I am with Rogers and i dont really care about unlocking the phone as much as i care about the upgrade itself.
So, which one should i download? Now i have flex version GSPSAN2RGR01NA081, s/w version R47_G_08.17.25R. boot loader 07.E0
Also, after upgrade, can i still unlock it?
What are the advantages of upgrading the bootloader?
