how to make motorola ringtones.....

well i have the usb cable and phone tools bought off of ebay (not here yet) can someone walk me trough how to make ring tones out of mp3's and ****? and backgrounds and ****????

run a search for 'ring tones' on www.howardforums.com and www.motomodders.net you will find tons. Or if you're lazy like me, just go to walmart.com and right click on any 30 second song sample and choose 'save as'! Instant ring tone.

To make your own ringtones...you will need a music editing software/program. After that, you will need to learn which settings are prefferable for your phone. You will also need to know how to compress and change the bitrate, frequency, and channels.
Personally, I use Adobe Audition 1.5. It's easy to use. If you want any ringer(s) made, I can make what I can find and PM them to you...then you can use your MPT to send em from your PC to your phone.

As for backgrounds, you need to know what are the dimensions of your phones screen. After that, you can download an image editing software/program to resize and clear them up...after resizing. You will need to enhance the image because when you reduce the size, the iamge may/will become slightly fuzzy.
Personally, I use XnView. With that program, you can easily crop the picture, if you want, and enter the dimensions you need it to be.

OR, IF YOU'RE TOO LAZY LIKE TROYBOY, YOU CAN GO TO WAL-MART'S WEBSITE AND RIGHT CLICK/SAVE AS FOR THE RINGERS.
