#1 | | Newbie | I joined this forum bc im so sick n tired of trying to figure it out myself......... Ok so here's the problem:
I have the v710 and used pix/flix messaging to send an audio file(like 2 sec in length) to my phone. How do i convert that file to midi so i can set it as my ringtone.......... or would I have to convert it. When i sent it, the file was in mp3 format, but on my phone, it is a QCP file(qcp???????).
I remember doing this a long time ago with no problem. I went into itunes and changed the length of the song. Then, i just sent it......... or did i just forget a step this time?????????
Thanks for the help.

#2 | | Lucky | The v710 is a motorola, right? I'll move this to that part of the forum where you'll probably find more help.

#3 | | | You need to give the file a ~false extension~ "audiofile.mid" to get the phone to "See" it in your ringtone list.... read here

I understand that onceuponatime vzwpix DID allow sending of MP3's - but they're either covering their butts or trying to force you to spend the $$ on GetItNow
