I've been searchin all freakin night for software for my V3. I cannot find P2K_driver_2.3.zip . Anyone got a CURRENT link? I've found a ton of links but not a single one will work. I also found mobile phone tools, but it was on HP's site and said compaq while installing. It has a razr skin on the software so it should be fine but it was just a screwy source to find it lol. All I wanna do is Mp3 Ringtones and themes n stuff like that. I dont want all of that modem crap setup. Also, what is SEEM? And Would I need that? I'm kinda interested in using the outter screen to do stuff like this guide http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/255592

SEEM files are basically the "programming" files for your phone. I guess you could say that they make up the phone's "operating system." To answer your question, yes, you do need them, otherwise your phone would not operate... They can be edited with a hex editor, so one could, for instance, change the text on the outer LCD display. However, unless you know how to hex edit, I personally wouldn't recommend attempting such modifications. I know a little bit about hex editing, but I have also done my fair share of rendering phones pretty much useless, lol. As far as software goes, I would use P2KMan if I were you. It installs quickly, all necessary drivers are right there with the download, and it seems to be much more stable than MPT. It can be found here... http://www.motomodders.net/ You just have to register an account, and you will be able to access the downloads section. Good luck, and have fun.

How do I connect my phone to my CPU

I have a Motorola V600 phone and would like to download ring tones but how do I connect the phone to the computer? I've tired a camera cord but it won't work on the phone. I didn't get a cord with the phone. Is this the correct way to download ringtones. I did get a ringtone sent to my phone but I have to connect to a website I think. How do I do that on a phone? Do I have to sign up for TMobiles service to do it?

    Thanks

    Stacy

Stacy if you want download ringers with a usb cable you need a driver like Mobile Phone Tools and the correct usb cable for your v600 to do so....

If you want to buy them from your carrier's site through your phone then you just visit their site and buy ringers from there or you can find a site that sends ribgers to your phone, once you get a text message from that web-site you just save as ringtone.

Yes you can, just go into your "ring styles" scroll down to "text msgs" press change and choose a custom ringer that you have downloaded to your phone as the ringer for your text.

I finally got a bluetooth adapter for Christmas so I managed to get a lot of stuff I wanted done. I connected to my phone for an audio gate way. I can hear my phone call comming through the PC speakers, but no one can hear me. So I went to my laptop that has a mic built in. I know the mic was working and it wouldnt work either. Anyone have any ideas with that one? MPT3 is pissin me off too, barely does anything although I do get it to connect. MPT3 would work nicely for sending/recieving texts right? I sent myself a text to test it and it worked but i havent tried recieving. Does it recieve em right when I get em so I can actually carry on a conversation like that?
