How to download ring tones?

I have a Motorola V600 phone and would like to download ring tones but how do I connect the phone to the computer? I've tired a camera cord but it won't work on the phone. I didn't get a cord with the phone. Is this the correct way to download ringtones. I did get a ringtone sent to my phone but I have to connect to a website I think. How do I do that on a phone? Do I have to sign up for TMobiles service to do it?

I'm not sure what service provider you're with (I'm guessing T-Mobile) but they should have a website where you can log on and buy ringtones. When you buy via their website, they will send a message to your phone (like a text message) and you just follow the download instructions on the screen

I'm not very familiar with the V600, but I am guessing it has the same USB connection as the V400 or the V555, which is a wide connector at the bottom of the phone. Same place as the charging port, except the charger connection is considerably narrower... A cable that will work with that phone can be purchased rather inexpensively. I think I paid like 2 cents for the cable, and shipping was like $8.99 from someone on eBay. Then I found a copy of P2KMan to use to transfer ringtones and pics to and from my phone.

I assume that you have allready created your ringtone for your phone in the right format (mp3 for v600)). Most people have a data plan with their phones. If not this will only cost you for a text message. Use this website to upload the ringtone,pics, themes to your phone. Click the link below

no cables needed. It just shows up as a text message. You then download and save it to your phone. Its free to use. Ive tried it. It worked for me when I sent a mp3 to my phone.

Darlinglove, if your carrier is not in the list and your phone uses a sim card just select cingular as the carrier and it should work.

All you have to do is purchase the usb cable on ebay or some cellphone store and install Mobile Phone Tools (do a search and you'll find it) simple as that unless u can't use MPT with t-mobile
