Motorola V180

I have searched the boards here and have read the threads about this, but I am still having problems. I have Mobile Phone Tools, and I have a mp3 editor, but for some reason, it says each time I try to transfer a mp3 to my phone that it isn't the correct type of file(each time it is in mp3 format). I also noticed that each time I started up mobile phone tools, then hooked up the phone, that it never gets past initialized on the program. My usb cable is a 4 pin. What is wrong with this? Do I need to download anything else in order to get it working?

Try transfering other file types and see what that does.
Make sure your transfering the .mp3 into the audio folder.
Maybe there are characters in the filename that arent acceptable on the phone?
And make sure your not trying to upload a huge mp3!


other than that, you could give a different programs a try. you can download P2K Manager from motomodders.net

I tried transferring .wav files and .wma even though I knew they weren't compatible. And the longest mp3 i tried to transfer was only about 23 seconds long.
