THE WAY HOW TO CONNECT COMPUTER AND VERIZON RAZR(or nonverizon) THROUGH UBS CORD.

I HAVE SEEN SO MANY POSTS WHICH IS ASKING HOW TO CONNCET RAZR PHONE WITH COMPUTER WITH USB.

HERE IT IS....

Before tell this;;;; ringtines, picutres and phonebook every thing that MPT support is working with Verizon RAZR-V3c. they have not blocked this features.

all the ringtone and picutres are accesable through my USB cable.

I have used the cord which i had before and

I downloaded phone tools from the web.

after install I upgraded the software... (need to reboot a few times inorder to upgrade to newest version.... when you do it you will know what i am talking about.)

Than I had to install my phone driver after I was connected(which is automatic, but my computer did not found my phone automatically
So, I had to choose one from the list.)

At first I choosed wrong phone.(it was motorola something can't remmber) only the phone book was working for me at the time.
but I was wondered about it. So I erased whole thing and reinstalled phone tool.

Like I said my computer could not detect my phone automaticaly Therefore I looked carefully into the list of phones. There was V3c on it......under CDMA phones without saying Razr.

So, I did that than finally they load up my phone.... all the ringtone and picture are accesable...

If your entertainment bar is unable; you should check the how your phone look like with Phone tool software up on your computer screen. It sould be just looks like RAZR. So, if it isn't you should change the phone model through software.......

i couldnt get mpt to work with my rzr but i just wanted to know whether i can download ringtones off of my comp to my phone? and if not, wat program can do that?

With MPT you can transfer ringers to your Razr, just edit them to 30 seconds...What version of MPT are you using?

Actually to find the correct wire, u just buy the OEM V3 RAZR cable. OEM stands for "Original Equipment Manufacture", this means the the wire is specifically made for the V3 by motorola so it should be compatible. I have one and it works fine and then after that, u can just download MPTs.

Thanks but we know what "OEM" stands for...

i've read that any usb cable will work (Assuming it has the right connector on it) but haven't had any luck getting the one from my camcorder to get my razr recognized by the computer
can anyone confirm, will a regular USB cable work?

I have an OEM Motorola usb cable but when i'm transferring photos to my PC and have my Canon's usb cable connected i will used that on my Razr and it works just fine.

also if you don't have drivers installed it will not see any connection period.

MPT doesn't have the usb drivers in it though, does it?..

MPT is what you need to use your usb cable....

yup, got that installed
it'll only go up to version 3.3 - it's not updating any higher then that. saying the update engine isn't installed so i can't go to 4.xx

i thought i had the correct usb drivers but still not recognizing... been reading through the faq's and no luck
