When I first charged my battery the power went out I have recently let my battery drain and recharged a couple of times I only get 3 hours at the most can this be fixed or a new battery

To me it sounds like the battery. Is it a new battery/phone?

Well if the battery is defective, then the store you purchased it from should be able to exchange it for you.

I haven't ever heard of a battery being able to reset.
