Hooking ravr v3 up to the computer?

Is it possible? I want to be able to take the pictures that are on the phone and d/l them to my pc. I have the cable that connects them and my computer evens sees the phone as a v3 razr. At this point it will not let me get any further. Are there drivers I need or is what I want to do immposible?
