Has anybody gotten alot of static on random calls even with full signal? It seems to go in and out getting quieter and then louder again. If I hang up and redial, most of the time it goes away. Any ideas on whats wrong?

Never had this problem, nor have I heard about it either.

Does it happen in certain area's or is it just totally random?

Hmmm....man...I have never heard of this nor have I read about it on this or any other forum.

I'd say take it back if it continues.

Co worker had the same problem, i unscrewed the antenna and put it back on and problem solved, lucky fix perhaps, but it's worth a shot...good luck.

Tony's suggestion could be a good one. You may have something (a bit of dust) down in there that may be preventing a good connection.

ok i cleaned the whole antenna assembly and will test it out tonight. Has anybody ever noticed the little black switch that the antenna pushes in on the phone? You can see it at the bottom when you take the back cover off and put up the antenna. Wonder what that's for...

well the cleaning didn't help much. still staticy. That little switch seems to be working fine so I dont think that's part of the problem. I was just asking what it was.

I'm probably gonna take the phone in to a Verizon store this week.
