I'm not sure but I have a similar problem. I had a V710 and they said is was a "bluetooth phone" but it couldn't sync any data.
Then along comes the class action suit against verizon and I get some mail that says they are going to take back the v710 and replace it.
In the mean time, it breaks and I send it in on their insurance plan and get a e815 in return.
The e815 is even worse, because at least the v710 worked as a blue tooth modem with my laptop and
PDA. The e815 is a big step backward for me, because it doesn't work as a modem because Verizon won't let it.
I'm guessing your problem is not equipment, it's Verizon.
They will decide how you use your cell service and you will like it! If you don't, then watch a video or download more funky ringtones.
This kind of thinking did so much for General Motors, I can see why Verizon has this attitude. These people just can't do enough to loose customers.
