I bought the MPX220 smartphone. I'll be downloading (and deleting) tons of themes/ringtones/etc. I'll also have at most 20 word documents varying from 1-100KB and at most 2 spreadsheets at most 5MB. I won't be using any video, and I may take oh.. 10 pictures before getting to a computer and downloading them.

So how much memory will be enough for that? I'm new to cell phones, so I really can't make an educated guess.

full song averages 4MB, pics about 500kb each (guessing, I didn't look up the megapixel stats).... I'd say a 128 would always be full, a 256 card would be 'plenty big enough' and everything above that will be glitzy ...I, personally, like unpretentious glitz

I'm with jeanie on this one: 256MB would probably be plenty, but if you want a ridiculous amount of files, go as big as your budget will allow. does this phone play videos? if you can play videos you'll want a 512mb or 1gb...

I predict that I'll be upgrading the phone before I ever get around to playing videos

You should first see what your phone will support. A friend of mine bought a 1GB TF card, but his phone won't support or recognize more than 512MB.

If you are going to use a ton of mp3's ringtones, get a 1gb, I have one, it works perfectly and I have almost filled it up with mp3's and photos!

I would say this is the biggest factor. I also had a friend buy a 1 GB card, only to discover that his phone only supports 512 MB and smaller. I don't remember where he bought it, but the store's return policy states that any opened package cannot be returned for cash. In store credit only. So he ended up paying a little extra and got 2 512 MB cards. Which is kinda pointless, IMO, as you can only use one at a time. Not only that, but I have heard from many people that those trans flash cards are really fragile, and that changing them often can damage them... Just my $.02.

I'd say get a 1GB so you don't need to worry about having to delete stuff off it.

    It's your best bet.

Best bet only if the phone will support a card of that size. Don't just go out and buy a huge card without knowing if the phone will recognize and use all the available space on said card...
