Re: Is the V3X being released in the states?
Supposedly this phone is supposed to be released from cingular mid july, I myself have my doubts, where as the network isn't ready for all the features included with this phone i.e. video confrencing (sp) although those services my become availible later. Just passing info on, if I new for sure I would post a new thread as the phone seems to be highly anticipated.

Re: Is the V3X being released in the states?
Smegma11, appendigitis, what is your problem? Let me explain a little something to you here. Our site is free to use, but our sponsors pay to keep it running. If we let every Tom, Dick and Harry post their advertising links, then we'd be cheating our paid sponsors out of what is rightfully theirs and they'll quickly find somewhere else to spend their advertising dollars. Ours isn't the only free site kept alive by sponsorship, but IMHO the few banners we have are way better than annoying popups, deceptive tracking cookies and adware. If you prefer to be inundated with popups and spam, you are welcome to go to one of those other sites you mentioned.
Then, there is such a thing as "thread integrity" which is the point I think you're missing the most. THE OP DID NOT ASK WHERE TO BUY A PHONE THEY ASKED WILL IT BE RELEASED IN THE UNITED STATES. When you divert a thread away from its original topic, you are hijacking and that's against our rules, which I doubt you took the time to read before you started this temper tantrum.Originally Posted by karmapolice
EDIT: Not to mention that 99% of the spammers whose links we delete are fly-by-night scammers and we are trying to protect our members from fraud! Don't you think the legitimate businesses and retailers are going to spend some money on legal advertising instead of running all over the internet for hours on end posting their links on every related forum site they can find?!?Last edited by Brad729; 06-18-2006 at 07:46 AM.

BTW, this is a reputable site, that's why we just upgraded it, to support demand from all the new registries we get on a daily basis.

*edit* Upon further research, I see that the V3x is a tri band handset. It uses the 900, 1800, and 1900 bands. I received an ad from my cell carrier (Cellular One) that they will be adding the 1900 band to their service. If other carriers have done the same, then this phone should work on those networks. If you are thinking of getting this phone, make sure to check with your service provider whether they use the 1900 band on their network. Hope that helps.Last edited by MotoMadMan; 06-18-2006 at 12:35 PM.

Re: Is the V3X being released in the states?
Some keep on insisting that this phone will be offered by a major carrier, the fact is that it's not, it is however sold by alot of independent retailers as well as e-bay sellers, if you check on their seller notes, you will see that it asks you to make sure that your area is 1900 mHz before buying the V3x because the v3x was meant for the European market...
Someone here is claiming that i'm trying to keep you folks from getting info on this phone? why would i do that? you can find info in this handset on the net anywhere, i am however trying to educate those who do not know that the v3x will not work unless your area is covered by the 1900 mHz frequency.
There's is a new model code name "The Canary" that will be coming for US carriers which will be the next Razr type phone to be released.
