I have heard that you can from retailers, but I just wanted to make sure they are not saying that to get you to buy it from them . If a 1GB card doesn't work then I could get a 512MB card and use it right? When I get the card I would put it in my v710 and it will format it, correct?

Also I am using Alltel's prepaid (15 cents a minute) service if that has anything to do with it. Thanks!

There are 1 gig, 2 gig...and I have even heard rumors of a 3 gig (not confirmed) cards out there.

I'd check to see if the software on the 710 can read a 1 gig card. I know it can read a 512.

Yes, just put the card in your phone and go in and tell the phone to format the card.

You will of course need a reader for your computer if it doesn't already have a one build into it.

See, that would be the problem, I do not have the phone yet, but I should have it by the end of March. I couldn't find a 2 gig MicroSD card, but I will search for it now.

If the phone is using a Fat8 driver than (not sure) it should be able to read up to a 2 gig (Or 3 gig, all I know is they can't read 4 gig cards) before you would have to, somehow, get a Fat32 driver installed.
