help convert i870 to telus from nextel

I bought a motorola i 870 and i need help unlocking and installing proper telus software or whatever you have to do to make it work on the telus network.....please help

The Motorola i870 is a Nextel phone that operates on the iDEN network. It will only work on Nextel's network.

While it is possible to unlock a Nextel phone, and Telus does offer IDEN service in Canada, you are going to have a hard time getting that phone unlocked for a couple reasons. IDEN is a proprietary technology owned by Motorola, who controls the rights to IDEN software. The only LEGAL way to have that phone unlocked is to pay an authorized Nextel rep to do it for you. Any other IDEN unlocking methods are illegal because the unlocking software out there tampers with the phone's software. Therefore, CPF does not post information on illegal software and we won't be able to help you here. The best thing I can tell you is try google.

Telus offers iDEN in Canada? Wow.... I learn something new everyday!

There are very few iDEN networks worldwide, and Nextel owns many of them, but there are a few others out there, like Telus in Canada and SouthernLINC here in Florida.

they also have MIKE that offers iDEN in Canada. and as far as i know SoLinc is available in a few other states near Florida. Brad if yourin Jax, dont you have partners? or Nextel at that, not SoLinc? disaster, send me a PM, i can help with unlocking your phone

ok, wasnt sure. my sis lives there and i talk with her a lot on DC. im also there every summer, but i wasnt sure what it was. where im at now is partners, but never had problems using the DC from Jax to here when im there.....
