Bluetooth and battery problem on PEBL

Hello everyone,
I have used my unlocked PEBL for a month. I have two major problems.

1. Bluetooth headset: Sometime I can't make voice dial with my motorola headset. If I unpair and then re-pair up the headset, voice dial fine. Do u have this problem? If you have or don't have problems, please share with me and tell me which headset u are using.

2. Battery life: After I turn on my phone and let it stand-by without using it or touching it, the battery can only last for 4.5 days. Is this normal? How long can you use the phone without battery charging?

Howie

If your headset needs to be paired everytime it disconnects you may have a defective handset or handset..

The standy time your are getting is actually the average time for your type of handset, also keep in mind that if you're using bluetooth that wil drain your battery a bit faster.

They don't need to be paired everytime they disconnect. The problem is only on voice dial. If voice dial doesn't work on my bluetooth headset, I have to restart my cellphone. I have tried two motorola bluetooth headset. So I am sure it is the phone problem. But I don't know if this is happened on all Pebl, or I am the only unlucky guy.

Also, when I tested the battery life, I turned off the bluetooth feature and didn't touch it. I have tested my phone with 2 batteries and only get 4.5 days purely stand-by time. I don't know whether I should send my phone for service or not.

Sounding from your issues, it seems like you are a newcomer to the cellphone industry...so firstly congratulations on joining this money-sucking hobby.

Now as for your two problems.

1) I wish you would IN DETAIL list exactly what is happening. List which BT headset you are using.

What should happen is the following.
pair headset with phone.
BT power remains on.
When you turn on your headset (flip-boom style ones, this happens when you flip it out, non-flip out., usually have longer standby times so activated by just clicking button once) device will connect. You push button once, and voice dial prompt is initiated.

please explain WHERE in that process is your problem arising.

2) on-line listings for what the standby time is for the pebl is;

Battery Life Talk: 6.67 hours (400 minutes)
Standby: 250 hours (10.4 days)

Keep in mind, I'm assuming this is measured by not touching the phone, not allowing it to ring, or receive any calls, etc etc for the entire period. If you are that concerned with it's STANDBY time, then I suggest you test this out.

Otherwise, I'd be more interested in it's useage time. no BT, Just talk-time...how does it fare.

I am using Motorola H700 Headset which can be flipped. I know how the headset works. Sometime, the blue indicator flashes rapidly on the headset. At this time, I can activate voice dial using headset. But sometime the indicator flashes slowly. At this moment, I can't activate voice dial using BT. I also tested it with Motorola HT 820 and I got the same result.

Also, I can't talk longer than 2 hrs after fully charged. Is it too bad?

is that using BT or not?

That's not as detailed as I was expecting. Try again.

square 1. have you paired successfully, do you see the h700 in "my devices". do you see the BT icon flash when you're using it?
