Does this screen blank out ONLY happen when you call your wife's phone, or does she only NOTICE this when you call? Does it happen 100% of the time that you call her phone? Does it matter if her phone is charging, fully charged, low battery?

Have either of you checked her phone's address book, to see if your number has been set to not ring or do something else besides ring when you call? Does she has Photo Caller ID? And maybe has a corrupted or deleted picture set to show?

Does it matter how cloase your phone is to her's when these things happen? Has calling her phone, from your phone, EVER caused he phone to ring normally?

Since it's HER phone that is not ringing and HER screen that blanks out when you call, I'm thinking it's HER phone that has the problem. Can't think of anything a calling phone can do making a simple call, that's going to effect the receiving phone.

her phone has only been doing this for about a week,we can.t think of anything that has been done to the phone thats any different. it only does it when i call her phone. i swapped sims cards between our phones and it still does it when my phone calls hers with my sim card it. when i call her phone it sounds like it's ringing on my end but hers doesn't ring, cingular has tried everything to both phones with no results. as soon as i call her phone her screen goes out for about three seconds then comes back on but doesn't ring. i even restored both phones back to factory settings and cleared everything out, still no different.it's the strangest thing i've ever seen.

So the thing in common would be the SIM, as it seems the problem follows the SIM card.

Remove your number from her phone's memory and her SIM, and reboot both phones.
Then try calling her phone. See if it still happens. If not re-enter your number into her phone book.

If this does not work, the only thing to try next is to copy all the numbers from the SIM to the phone, remove all the SIM's phone entries. (in her phone of course).

Reboot both phones, and see if it still happens. If it happens with your numer in her phone book and without it being in her phone book or even stored on her phone, I'd say it has to be something that's going on with her SIM, since again, it seems to follow her SIM card.

Restoring back to factory setting will not remove anything that has been entered, graphics, phone numbers setting in the phone books.

Remove your entry from the phone itself.
