*Newbie* Needing help

I bought a brand new pink razr off ebay last week. Used my SIM card (Cingular) and it worked fine. While making a call the phone went dead. I charged the battery but after that it would not send or receive calls or text. It stated "Call failed". Then where it normaly has Cingular for service it had "Emergency Only". Talked to tech support at Cingular and was told to replace the SIM card. I replaced it yessterday but it didn't help. The card works in my V220 so I was told by tech support it has to be the phone. Anything I can do to fix this?

could it be because ur phone is locked. when ur phones locked itll only allow you to dial emergency phone numbers. like 911, etc..

connierenae contact the seller ASAP and see if they can replace the phone, or try unlocking it again.

On the back of the phone.... on the battery cover..... under the Motorola logo..... does it have a service provider name?

Just have to look at the menu, if it's unbranded, there will not be any carrier/provider logos.

Thanx for the help. Bo9ught the phone as brand new still in box unlocked, took selllers word. Have returned phone to have it replaced. This is a great site. Lots of info. I'll be back!
