Thanks again bubble.tea, I'm learning a lot here today and will start searching for mods to the standard phone on these forums.

sadly...this is NOT the forum to be doing that searching on. The real Moto info is on howardforums & motomodders.net (to name a few).

I have been looking and now I believe that I have wandered into a Windows world. I am all Mac machines at my studio which is all centered in the graphics and publishing world. It looks like all Moto Modding software is Widows based only.

That's fine, I can live quite well with my RAZR as it is, I'm totally happy with it.

hey man i just got the black razor and i downloaded that program MOBILE PHONE TOOLS and i send the ringtone to my phone but i dont get it on my phone do you know what the problem is?

well the problem is twofold.

1. This is the wrong thread to be asking this in...Look for thread titles with RINGTONES, or Motorola Phone Tools, and have a look inside to see what's going on.

2. How do you know the file doesn't transfer properly? Do you get a failure/error message? or do you not know where to look for the ringtone? Or...are you choosing an incompatible formatted audio file?

im doin it rite it says transferin i get it from melody rite ?

I'm looking at a moto c261 from tracfone, can this phone be unlocked and used with t-mobile? And if so where can I get this info? Thanks.

Sorry, so far the C261 can NOT be unlocked by either codes or cable.

Can any pre paid be unlocked?

You should be able to unlock the pre-paid phone as long as it has a sim-card.

What is the model number of the phone?

Hey there - Wondering if anyone could help me out.
I have a mobile locked to Optus Boost, and they have provided me with an unlock code. Where the heck do I enter it? Get a message saying contact your service provider on screen, and won't let me enter any text! Is there any other programming I have to do to complete the unlock? Would call Aussie again but poor student here in NZ!

take out the sim card and turn the phone on, at the screen that says insert sim card you should be able to hit the star button to get a P and then continue. is your unlock code like this +pw1234567890+7 ?
