I have the Motorola Pink RAZR V3C and I've already downloaded two ringtones, yet, I still hear the old rings that were already in my phone.

I don't understand what's going on. I supposedly already set them to ring, but I still hear the old ringtone. Does anyone know what's going on? Thanks

    Re: Trouble with Ringtones

Do you want the old ones out of your phone, or one of the new ringtones to be your ringtone?
If you want to select one of the new ones as your ringtone go to
menu> multimedia> sounds> highlight the ringer you want> menu again> then select apply as ringtone

    hope thats what you wanted....

    Re: Trouble with Ringtones

Thanks for your help, crazybeautiful, but I'm still having the same problem.
I can't find those settings you told me. I don't think my phone has them.

To make my problem more clear: I downloaded two ringtones from the "Get it Now" menu. Those weren't free. I had to pay for those. After they were downloaded, I set them as my default ringtones, (one for receiving calls, one for receiving voicemails) but I still hear the old ringtones that were already there; not the new ones that I downloaded.

    Thanks for your help

Yep, that's why you don't have the menu options crazy told you to go through. That is a Verizon phone, and it probably has the new Verizon GUI, and not the stock Motorola one. I have very little experience with that UI, so I wouldn't be able to help you with the ringtone problem. Just wanted to clear up the reason why you couldn't find those menu options you were told about...

Oh, okay. I guess I should've especified I was using Verizon. Well, at least I got them to play when someone called me, but only for one time. The second time, it was back to my old ringtone

    Oh well

    Hyper,

    Menu
    Settings & Tools
    Sound Settings
    Ring Styles
    Master Volume Detail

There you can change all the various sounds in your Verizon V3c. If you are trying to set your downloaded ringtones as "personal tones" for specific callers, you will need to call up that ringtone by going to"

    Get it now
    Get tunes & tones
(find the specific ringtone you want)
    Options
    2. Set as ringer ID
Select the contact to set rigtone for.

    Hopefully that helps you out.
