Question about connecting V3 to PC

I have Motorola mobile phone tools Ver 1.23e (I bought it a few years ago for my V600). I loaded it and it cannot connect to the V3. When I plug the USB cable in, I get the PC and the phone to recognize a connection, but no drive or phone icon appears on my PC.
Should I and can I update the Phonetools? I tried, but was unsuccessful.
Do I have to re-purchase the software? (I hope not).

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Tony, YOU DA MAN!!

THANKS.

It worked like a charm!
Only thing, the tutorial was not applicable.
I clicked on your link, downloaded the program, ran it, connected the phone and BINGO!
Not sure about the update part of the tutorial, however during my running of the program, it put up a 'loading live updates' window.

Anyway, I think it's working.

Thanks again!!!!!

Good to hear..good job.

the tutorial is just for reference, a bit outdated but it gives you a general idea of what to look for.
