If it ask for a SIM Card and a new one works then no problem. But water and cellphones don't match wich is why I think they should invet a water-proof case for the phone. Anyhow sorry to hear about your RAZR hope you can get it fixed without throwing out a whole lot of moolah.

I used to work for a store that also sell cell phones. I always hear sad stories about bad things that happen to their phone.
I highly recommend getting it.

#9 | | I hate spammers! | Not to be rude, but you probably don't want to get another Razr. They are notoriously fragile phones. Maybe you should look into something a little more durable (and less expensive) until you are a little older. while I am sure this was just an accident, trust me, you will have a lot more accidents while you are a teenager. This is the reason I won't get my daughter a Razr until she is at least 17; I know how she takes care of her stuff.

#10 | | ... | Yup. Some of my friends like the RAZR, but say it's too delicate. What about trying a SE, perhaps the Z520a or even the W600i. I always take the W600 whenever I'm doing something active and it hasn't failed me yet.
Too bad to hear about your phone, but that's just reality. Also one thing to consider, water damaged phones are tricky. They might work for a while then just quit without any notice. If you didn't take your phone apart and have it dried out extensively, the phone more than likely got damaged when you turned on the phone. And since you were in chlorinated water (pool), that does more damage to the phone. There usually is no way to fix a water damaged phone successfully...they always have problems later. Another way to save money is to buy another RAZR with a cracked screen and use yours to swap on the other one. At least your a hard worker, that says something about your character.

#14 | | Newbie | Hey, how old was this phone? If you bought it within the last two weeks then you can still add insurance.
