Need Help!

I own a moto V3 and today i tried to text message someone for the first time and it won't work! it says "sending failed, Status 38", what the hell does that mean? i tried sending several messages but they all came back like this, please help

Hmm from what I know before sending a text message on your phone u need to add your area code and then the number, for example I live in calgary so I have to put 403 and then the number, example 4031234567 and the other person should get the message. I tried sending a message to my brother's cell just by putting his number 1234567 and it said "Sending failed, retry later" and so 3 mins later I got this message "Sending Failed" and at the bottom it said "Status:38". Hope this answers your question
