Timeport 8767

Does anyone know if the Motorola Timeport 8767 (on Sprint) would support SMS text messaging? I don't know if the phone is too old for that. Thanks!

On the old sprint phones you could BUT, you needed to send and recieve them like e-mail. so it required internet access, an expensive way to text

so if i were to try to use a timeport these days to send a text message, i would have to go through it's internet access to do it? I'm thinking about getting one to use because i liked the phone (and their cheap) but i would like to be able to not loose the text messaging functionality. thanks!
