i got a motorola v620 with vodofone and i bought a cable to connect it to my pc the other installed the software, but i dont know how to get the pictures off and things if i go onto control panel > printers and other hardware > phone and modem options i can see if there also there isnt a option like on start > all programes there
could anyone help?

not sure i can help you, but i would suggest telling us what "Software" you are using, and maybe someone here can help you out if we know a lil more info...

That is the software that you need to connect your Motorola phone to your PC. It is also known as Motorola Phone Tools or MPT. You can search the forums for the installer file.
