l6 phone problems

ok i bought a l6 phone on ebay and it said that it was quad band but when i got it it was only tri band so i ask cingular if it would work on the networks and they said yes, everything was working fine but i am not droping calls and the phone will go into emergancy use only, i have natwide for my plan and i am in side my covrage area when this happens. so i went back to cingular and now they said that it was the phone and they could not do anything for me, well i was wondering if ther was a way to make it a quad band phone so it has the 850mhz on the phone.

You were misinformed when you bought the phone from the seller. Only the L7 is quadband. It seems you might have gotten one that uses 900Mhz instead. You can't do anything with switching it to 850Mhz. Probably you're best bet is to contact the seller and see what can be done if returns/refunds are accepted.
