V550 Problem - Missing 1MB of Memory - 5MB now only 4MB

Hey

Great Forum

I was clearing and adding pics to my phone through mobile Phonetools.
later i noticed my memory had gone from 5 Mb to around 4 Mb.
Its like 1MB has physically been cut out

I dont have a clue what to do. Any recommendations would be great.
I know 1MB aint alot but its better than having 4 crappy MBytes

Thanks All

Matt

From what I read on your post it seems pretty normal that u have lost 1mb since you said u were cleaning and also adding pics. It's pretty obvious when u add pics or ringtones ur using up memory on the phone.

Re: V550 Problem - Missing 1MB of Memory - 5MB now only 4MB

Nope man. when i go into the 'Free Space' settings in only shows 4326kbytes when it used to be 5300kbytes.

i do know that adding will decrease the size of the fone. This is obvious. But its the actual memory reading thats dropped by 1 meg

HERE is the only related incident ive found on the net

help motorola memory missing - Google Search

its the first link.

i HATE mobile Phonetools!!!!!!1 they STOLE a Meg of memory from me on a phone that only has 5 mbytes

PLease help me or give me some advice

'free space' would suggest it is displaying the amount of memory remaining / available. Not the actual full memory capacity.

Re: V550 Problem - Missing 1MB of Memory - 5MB now only 4MB

NO.......

I know exactly what full memory capacity is

OK - i go to my Video Recorder and then go 'Menu' - 'View Free Space'

It says

Label Phone
Free : 2156 kb
Used :2411
TOTAL : 4568

It used to be TOTAL 5500 KB. im not that blonde you know

Any ideas what happend. Or should i just freaking blame that mobile phonetools
