Ok I have the Motorola V710 cell phone and I purchased the Media Tools and the USB cord so I could create my own ringtones. I was able to use the software and successfully create a few ringtones but then it would not work. I got a new copy of Media Tools and uninstalled mine and reinstalled it with this one which was the same version by the way. The cell phone appears on my monitor and it just sits there and says initializing modem then it will say mobile not connected, when the phone is connected and the PC recognizes it because it says found new hardware.

Also my girlfriend has the Motorola V323 and I hooked it up to the pc last night and started Media Tools and it recognized it quickly. On the next attempt to plug the V323 in and use the Media Tools it did not recognize it and now it is doing the same thing it does with my V710. I am at a loss here and do not know if it is the cable, software, phones, computers, drivers or what.

I know someone in here can help me out all I want to do is some cool stuff on my cell phone is that to much to ask

    Re: Motorola V710 Media Tools

Hmm I just had da same problem with MPT but I fixed it . Try this
    1. Open MPT
2.Click Next and Redetect Phone (hook up your phone to the cable)
3.(now it will say connecting or some crap like dat) click on the menu and select SETUP and select Connect a Different Phone and then you should be turned to the detect phone page again, this time when u click next it won't scan nothing, it should go straight to your phone and u should be able to pass pics, mp3, vids into the phone. If this doesn't work then I dunno what else to do, which reminds me I better add my new ringtones before this MPT starts to act gay again . Let me know if this works though, later
