Can we use a voice recording as the ring tone?

My daughter has a razr and she has figured out how to do voice recordings, but she wants to use one as her ringtone. Is this possible?

I'm not sure if u can do that with any cellphone. I can't do that with my v555.
What u could do is get her to record the things she want on the phone onto the computer and then transfer it to the phone. I'm sorry if this doesn't help

do you know what kind of additional hardware we need to record to the computer and then transfer to the phone? would this be in the paperwork for her phone?

I can use my voise recordings as ringers on my CDMA Razr V3c from Verizon. It is just like setting any other ringer: just select it from the "tunes and tones" list, press options and "set as ringer" or "set as ringer ID" and choose the contact you want it applied to.

I do not know how to set it for any of the other Razr variants, but I assume it is a similar procedure.

on an old old LG phone i had i could do it, try this see if it will work. record what ever it is you want, then send it to yourself as a text and save it. see if it saves it in the correct place to then set as a ringer.

probably depends on the service provider. i Know with VZW most phones i have messed with can do it no problem. Just record and then to the ringtones and you will see it. Some wont but just have to try it out. I know voice recorder is the cheap way of getting ringtones for VZW.

All you have to do is send the voice recording to another phone via MMS text messaging, or possibly back to the original phone (dunno, never tried that one before.) Then store it, and you will be able to use it as a ringtone.

@Latino21: I can do this with my V555, and if your phone uses the standard Motorola GUI, you should be able to do it too...

.I bought the phone from ebay and have only added MP3 Ringtones, themes, and Wallpapers. So how would u add a voice clip as a ringtone on the v555, since u say it can be done

(just curious/wouldn't add a voice clip as a ringtone though).
