Problem with V3i

I just recently got a motorola v3i phone through a t-mobile authorized dealer here in my home town. A couple weird things are happening, first of all it says "Cingular" on the screen instead of "T-Mobile". Also, I keep getting these SMS text messages that just say "?@" with no reply number. I went to the store and they told me to contact TMobile, and TMobile told me to ditch the phone and get a phone through them, but they don't offer the v3i. Anyone know why this is happening? I get the text messages every time I check my voicemail, and also at other odd times. Any advice?

that is a simple seem edit requirement.

What is happening is that the seem has not been set for your voicemail.

This is a very simple procedure that you'll need to do., but as a beginner QUITE daunting.

It happened to my unbranded L7 on Rogers., Once the edit was performed it went away.

Easy way is to ask someone to do it for you., maybe at a club meet or something like that. Maybe ask for it in the B/S/T forums.

DON'T DITCH your phone...lol...gotta love that one. The text can be changed AS WELL with a simple seem edit.
