phone not read

i installed motorola phone tools a few days ago and it was working fine, it is version 4.00.

then it suddenly would not transfer files and says phone not connected. i am usind a usb cable & my phone is a slvr l7.

help!

Try this - Click on Setup, install/connect new phone follow the steps, and select look for phone manually, if it's a gsm then select GSM phones if not then select whichever phone yours falls into. Once u do this and installed the drives when it asks you Found new software click ok and select link up to the internet to look for drives, after this is done then it should work, hopefully

i knowticed that if i run the MPT it will automaticly search and install the drivers for the phone each time. Should try to manualy install with cable.

If your phone doesn't get detected or it detects the phone but won't go in then like I said before you can try to install it manually to see if it would work or not (it has worked for me) it wouldn't hurt to try and see if yours get detected to.
