I just got my first Motorola cellphone. Is it OK to pull-out the antenna from my cellphone or would this cause damage? Are antennas interchangeable from model-to-model or from brand-to-brand?

Re: Changing Antennas ?
Describe pull-out. There's a difference between pull out and pull off.
If you mean extend, that's what it's there for. Usually you don't really need to extend it unless your coverage is down to one or no bars.
Some are interchangeable but if you do it and then have a problem, you could void any applicable warranties and have to pay for repair service.

I meant to say "Pull-Off". The antenna I described doesn't extend (telescopic)it just comes out when pulled sharply. I was afraid that by pulling it off, I could damage the connection somehow. I was unaware that antennas could be changed on cell phones.
