Friend wants V3i for T-Mobile USA -- where should he buy?

My friend's two year contract is up and he's found the V3i to be his perfect phone but he doesn't know where to get it. I told him not to get it on eBay because I've been hearing a lot of horror stories about getting bogus V3i's on there. Is T-Mobile getting the V3i soon? Can he buy it at a store?
