Question about the SLVR

I have the SLVR L7 and was wondering if the data cable that came with the phone (I'm not sure if this is the correct data cable, it allows me to put Itunes onto my phone, but I don't know if there are different types of data cables) would let me put ringtones onto my phone from my PC? If so what are the steps to put a ringtone onto my computer and then transfer to my phone? The manual says that Itunes that are transfered from the computer to the phone cannot be used as ringtones, which is fine with me, but I don't understand the steps involved with ringtones.

The cable u have is good all you need is a copy of MPT (Mobile Phone tools) and it will let u add ringtones.

Actually you don't even need mpt for SLVRs once you plug in your phone (you'll have to close itunes if you have it set up to start up everytime you connect your phone) your computer will see your phone as a "removable storage device" once you browse you phone for your ringtones folder it's simple from there, same with pics etc.

where can one get mobile phone tools? is there anywhere i can read more about this program?

Search then ask. You'd be suprised how ofter you miss what's staring you right in the face.

just go to the store where u bought the phone n ask 4 the cd i got mine 4 free but i bought a slvr L6 so i don't know if its the same
