I just got a brand new Moto T720... only $49 with 100 prepaid free minutes.
I fully charged the battery. Worked fine the first day. But then on day two, I opened the phone and I tried to turn it on... but it wouldn't turn on.
Battery read fully charged but even after several attempts, the phone wouldn't turn on. In frustration I opened the back, took out the battery and then simply put it back in. After that, the phone started and appears to be working O.K. now.
Any ideas as to why the phone wouldn't start... and then started after I pulled out and then put back the battery.
The phone has been very gently handled since I bought it. Most of the time it had only been sitting on the table. It hadn't been jostled around or dropped in any way that would have "dislodged" the battery.
Just how sensitive are these phones? Or, does the battery not fit right?
It is the battery that came with the T720 phone.
Has anyone else experienced this ?

Re: Y wouldn't T720 start until battery moved?
A few things could cause this. It's possible that the phone just needed to be reset. When you take a battery out of a phone, it resets everything back to the default. Think about disconnecting your car battery...same idea.
It's also possible that there was something on the contacts of the battery or phone that was causing a bad connection. Maybe some dust, dirt, or debri of some kind that fell out when you took out the battery.
I would bet on the first one. It's more likely. I have had luck with scrubbing battery contacts with a toothbrush or pencil eraser to reestablish the connections though so the second theory is possible.
