Moto KRZR: help copying music (verizon)

Hi
I had a moto V710 with Verizon, and after 2.5 years, was ready for a new phone.
(It had the icon based 9-icon menu system. TXT-ing was easy and fast with T9)

I hated the newer 'LG' format menus, but now ALL verizon phones have that format. Including this KRZR.

It takes forever to attempt to send a TXT message, and it's just an awful menu system. (iTap)

Anyways, I bought a 1GB sandik SD card, and my Sony computer has memory slots on the front.

I thought as long as I ripped with windows media player 10, and copied the files to the SD, i could stick in the phone and it would work.

I tried moving the files out of the 'album' folders, to a root menu. That didn't help.

What am I doing wrong? The files are definately in WMA format, but even the other formats/bitrates wont show up (may not be supported) but i tried AAC and mp3 too.

Was trying to avoid buying music essentials kit. I even have a bluetooth device to transfer files across from computer to phone, but I think if direct to SD and sticking SD in phone doesn't work, that wont either.

Also, can someone elaborate on P2K and what it is and where to get it? (comparing to MPT) etc.
Thank you!

Make sure that the song files are stored in the "my_music" folder on your card. If you don't have a "my_music" folder, you will need to format the card in your phone first.

Yeah, I did the same exact thing, moved from the V710 to the KRZR....All you have to do is put the card into your computer, click on My Computer, right click on the card and click Format. Once it's formatted, just put it back in the phone, take it out and put it back in your computer, then there will be all of the right folders (my_music, my_videos, etc)
