Does anybody have a heads-up on the next hot Motorola phones to hit the market? I've had a V551 for almost two years and use it a lot for e-mail and web browsing. I like my 551 but want to upgrade to something newer.

Shame, shame, shame, The best of the best is out there waiting for you. Depending on what you like it ranges from the KRZR (as far as cell phones go it's the best moto out yet) and the Q (This is a great phone if you like the blackberry/treo - pda phones) These are maybe a little pricey right now so you could go with a V3i (itunes version of the V3 for gsm) or the L7 (SLVR candy bar style itunes phone as well with a 100 song limit, which can be easily hacked to increase it) Both for cing. As for the krzr and q I'll check how their availible for.

    Q is for verizon
KRZR is for Verizon and Alltel

I did check out the Q on Motorola's site and it seems pretty cool. I've gotta believe it carries a hefty price tag. Definately not on the list of Cingular's meager upgrade list...LOL But yeah, the Q is the type of phone I was thinking about.

    Re: Next new moto phones

I thought the Q was a GSM phone as well ?? I thought I seen one on Cingular just 2 weeks ago? But the Person might have lied to me about it but it is about 500 bucks for the Phone and he was selling it . So it is Possible that he lied to me. So is the Q also a GSM ?

    Just a correction for Griff...

There is a GSM version of the KRZK, it is called the K1. The CDMA version is called the K1m.

As for the Q, the CDMA version is currently the only one out there. Motorola did announce a GSM version way back in July 2005, but it has yet to materialize. If it comes out at all, I wouldn't expect it until some time in mid 2007.

When I did a search of moto's site, I looked up the phones that could be bought with service and thats all I found, also ? Is the k1 offered though any US service yet or am I hoping to much?

I have not found any U.S. providers that are offering the K1 yet, but it is just a matter of time. Here is where I got my info: Motorola KRZR K1 Specs & Features (Phone Scoop)

    UPDATE:

I just found out that Cingular will be getting the K1 sometime very soon (Q4 2006). Motorola KRZR K1 - Features, Specs, and User Reviews - Mobiledia

You can already pre-order it on Suncom. Since SunCom and T-Mobile often get the same phones, I wonder if this means pink T is getting it soon.

Paul, the unbranded unlocked version of the GSM Q has been available from independent sellers for over a month now.

If not you can always get an unlocked version of it.
