I have been using cell phones exclusively (no land line at all!) since 1998. I have had many cell phones, but generally stuck with fairly simple phones. I want to have a variety of ring tone choices, an alarm, and I want it to make and receive phone calls. Pretty simple.

Well, A provider here in Jamaica lured me away from my other provider by promising bright, shiny new phones for everyone in our company, and the four top people got their choice of some lovely phones. Yay. I kept telling them that I just wanted a phone that was very small and that worked. My husband got the SLVR7 and I got the SLVR6.

We can't figure out how to do a darn thing on either of them.

The manuals haven't been very helpful.

I have questions about everything! The first annoying thing is that when I enter names and phone numbers, each phone number shows up as a separate entry, even though I enter additional numbers using the "more" command. So I end up with:

    Judy 555-1212
    Judy 555-1214
    Judy 555-1215
    Judy 555-1235

    instead of:

    Judy

which would automatically dial the main number, or I could click on the name and choose another number listed for that person. This was easy to do on every other phone I've had. I don't know what in the world I'm doing wrong!

I guess I'll just start with that question, as it's the one driving me most crazy at the moment.

Next up: I have a USB cable that fits the phones, but apparently I need software that did not come with the phone in order to connect it to my computer. I see lots of choices out there, but don't have any idea what to get.

    Jenny

Well that’s the way it works in all new Motorola’s the only thing that you can do is to select the name then press menu and choose primary number and that one is going to appear first

About the software you have to find or buy MPT that’s Motorola Phone Tools in order for you to synchronize your agenda contacts upload tones and pictures and vs. Phone > PC and Pc > Phone
