Anyone have this problem with the KRZR? (Verizon)

Had the krzr for about a month and a half and noticed the other day, that the front display turns on and off, the verizon logo shows up, and then the phone freezes up. This goes on and on, in a cycle! I turned the phone off, took the battery out and restarted but alas, the same problem. Anyone else have a similar problem? This is not the first time I've had a problem like this with a Moto/Verizon phone. Is it the software that Verizon installs? My bad luck? Motorola's fault?

Does this happen when the flip is open or closed?

Either, it is stuck in a cycle whereby it turns on/off no matter if the flip is open or closed. Called VZW customer service and they wanted to give me a refurbished phone! I had to scream at them to get a new phone. What a piece of garbage!

Sometimes is not the phone that's defective but the software that's installed may have a glitch, in this case Verizon's...that's nothing new.

I got my KRZR around Halloween and it's now jan.18 and I cannot access 'my pictures' anymore.
Did you have an extra memory card? I tried swapping the "save to...", to the phone mem and the card mem and it does it (freezes) with both. I turned cam off, took out SD memory, rebooted phone, tried it again, and it STILL froze! It's as if the firmware got corrupted. Accessing pictures or if you take a pic and it tries to save you get the hourglass and the phone freezes. Even took out the battery so I could un-freeze it.

I was in a ALLTEL company store today and they tell me that Motorola has recalled all KRZR phones for a software glinch. They said that they should have the phone back in stock on or before Feb. 1st.

Verizon's KRZR has not had a recall and it is still being sold. Also, it does still have the original SW version with no updates yet available however I would be fairly confident in saying that a SW update will become available for it at some point. This is common for brand new models of phones.
