Update V551

Trying to update some phone numbers with MPT and from some of the comments on here it seems it's not always smooth sailing. I can move pictures just fine but when I try and do the phonebook I get a message saying "Error trying to update.." I tried manually entering from the PC and not using Outlook and I get the same message. Is it me or the software? Anything obvious I should be doing? I'm not a real techie. Where do I find the version of MPT I'm using? Looked for an "About.." in help but no luck.

Which version did you install?

read through this > Tony's MPT link

The version is 4.3.6c dtd 10/23/06. I don't have any of the problems in Tony's link. I can update photos and calendar OK. I can edit a name in the phonebook on my phone BUT ONLY the name. If I attempt to edit thae number or add a new entry it will not accept it. Very strange. I tried going to options and setting it to phone only instead of simm card but that didn't help.
Any ideas?
