Help on Moto Razr I bought used!

I am a sprint customer and picked this phone (Razr V3m) up online which was supposed to be unlocked. It says alltel on the box. I called sprint and they said that the DEC and HEX #'s are invalid and they asked if its a sprint phone and I told them I did not know. I know very little about cell phones and the person who sold me this is no longer returning my calls. What can I do to get this phone to work with sprint? This was a gift for my mom for her B-day that has just backfired on me. Thanks for any help!

I doubt this version of the Razr is unlocked since it's not GSM, this one is CDMA and has to be flashed with Sprint's software for it to work properly...
i seriously doubt Sprint will activate it for you
sorry to hear about this, i wish you would had asked us here before you bought that phone.

Try selling it to an Alltel customer, but make sure that this phone is clean ( not reported stolen or black listed) to get your money back and buy a Sprint version....please MAKE SURE the ESN on the one you buy is clear to be activated and that the phone has not been reported stolen/lost (black list) as well.....good luck.
