Try this: upgrade to MPT4, check phone settings/USB connection, disable all JAVA apps.

Since you guys seem to know about MPT, perhaps you could help me. I am trying to transfer video from my phone to my comp. Problem is, when I get the Multimedia section, there is nothing in my Mobile Phone section for me to transfer. Anyone?

MPTs is total voodoo software. I had nightmares forever with it. I installed it. Uninstalled it. Reinstalled it. I followed the advise of a dozen people and could NEVER ge it to work on my last computer. It was a NIGHTMARE.

Then my old computer got stolen and I had to get a new laptop. bought a new laptop and installed MPTs on the new computer and whamo everything worked fine.

A few glitches have since popped up but nothing that couldn't be fixed.

I'm using MPTs now with no problems. But I feel your pain because sometimes it just seems like someone has cursed you while you are trying to use this software. I have no solution. I tried everything on my last computer. Nothing worked. Have the same software on my new computer and MPT just hums along fine.

It isn't you. Lots of people have problems with MPTs. And their support department leaves a lot to be desired.

You might try the Data Pilot software (www.datapilot.com). I had some good success with that program. It's not as customized to Motorola as MPTs but it can get the job done if MPT isn't working for you.

Thank you, but I have done all of that. I have an e816 and it only works if I click on 3815m. If I chose e816m, it won't connect. I will check my java though. This is really pissing me off...

So if it works selecting e815m, what is the problem?

When I try to transfer data, it shows that there is nothing there to transfer.
